Privacy policy
How Lydling Fine Art handles information when you browse, enquire and use checkout.
Information you provide
Seller enquiries collect contact details, artwork descriptions and private photographs, including document photographs you choose to provide. The team stores proposals, response attempts and handling notes with the enquiry. Files are available only to authorised staff. Submissions are not public listings. Artwork enquiry and offer forms collect your name, email address, the selected artwork and your consent to be contacted about the request. You may also provide a phone number, a message and an offer amount. These submissions are stored privately so the gallery can review and respond to them.
Checkout collects the contact, billing and delivery details you enter, the selected artworks, order totals and payment form entries. An order reference and status are retained with the request. Do not include sensitive personal information in an artwork message.
Gift-card requests retain the amount, currency, sender and recipient names, delivery email and personal message, together with payment, balance and email-attempt records. Card payment details are entered with the payment provider. Gift drafts are kept in your browser tab to recover an interrupted request. Keep gift codes private and contact us about corrections or privacy requests.
How information is used
Contact form submissions are saved privately for staff review. Automated assistant conversations are saved privately for 90 days. With analytics consent, search requirements, results and product clicks are saved separately for 90 days without linking them to support identities. Information is used to handle your enquiry or order request, answer support questions and protect the website from abuse. Enquiry protection records hashed network and browser identifiers and limits repeated submissions. Website hosting services may also keep technical request logs for operation and security.
Artist updates store your email address and selected artist privately. A confirmation link activates updates; unconfirmed requests expire after seven days. Confirmed followers receive at most one email per artist a day when new artworks are available. Each email includes a private stop link, which removes that subscription.
Sourcing briefs and artwork selections are saved privately with your enquiry for staff review. If you request saved artwork alerts, we store only the selected artwork identities and current listing facts with your email address. Saved artwork changes are emailed at most daily; the optional gallery new artwork digest is sent at most weekly. Both require email confirmation, expire unconfirmed requests after seven days and include a private stop link that removes the subscription. These subscriptions do not authorise other marketing.
Authorised store administrators can access submitted requests. Where email delivery is configured, a notification may be handled by the store’s email service. A request about an artwork is not a subscription to marketing emails.
Cookies and browser storage
The basket and checkout use browser storage to remember selected artworks, checkout choices and some entered details. Cookies or temporary access links can keep an order accessible during checkout. These functions help pages work together; clearing site data can empty your basket or interrupt checkout.
Where analytics and advertising tools are enabled, the website records actions such as viewing artworks, opening enquiries and reaching checkout. Storage and advertising permissions start as denied. The consent control, where shown, lets you choose whether to permit optional storage and advertising use. With analytics consent, we may test different button labels, remember your assigned version in browser storage and link that version to an enquiry you submit to assess its usefulness. Optional measurement tools load only after you grant an eligible category. Contact details used for advertising measurement are hashed and require advertising consent.
Your choices and requests
Use your browser settings to clear cookies and local site data. On a shared device, close checkout when finished and clear saved site data. Where a cookie preference control is shown, use it to review your choices.
To ask about information held about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email support. Include enough information to locate your request, but do not email payment details or identity documents unless a secure verification method has been agreed. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own information.
Request and order records remain in the store until an authorised administrator removes them. Contact support to discuss retention and deletion of your information; records needed to resolve an active enquiry or meet applicable obligations may need to be retained.
