Terms & conditions
What to know when browsing artworks and making a request.
Using this gallery
Lydling Fine Art provides this catalogue for browsing artworks and contacting the gallery about them. Use the website lawfully, provide accurate contact details and submit only requests you intend to make. Do not misuse forms or try to access another person’s order.
Artwork details and availability
Read the selected artwork and edition details carefully. Images are a guide and colours may appear differently on different screens. Ask for clarification about condition, dimensions, provenance, framing or any information that is not stated. Do not assume that a document or service is included unless confirmed for the artwork.
Availability and displayed prices relate to the selected artwork or edition and may change. A sold or unavailable artwork cannot be purchased. Where the page invites an enquiry or offer, sending the form does not reserve the artwork or confirm acceptance of an offer.
Orders and payment
Review the artwork, selected edition, currency and total before submitting checkout. A pending order or an unsuccessful payment is not a confirmed purchase. Contact support if you are uncertain about an order’s status before making another attempt.
Buyer protection
This programme covers confirmed, paid website checkout purchases up to US$100,000 (or the equivalent order value). For larger purchases, contact support about the available protection before paying. Payments arranged directly outside the website and buyer-arranged shipping or collection are excluded from this voluntary programme.
If an artwork materially differs from its description, contact support. We will investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund, repair or agreed partial refund.
Report transit damage within 7 days of delivery, with photographs of the artwork and packaging. Keep all packaging for investigation and agree any return with us first.
Contact support promptly if the artwork has not arrived by the agreed delivery date. We will investigate with the seller and carrier and arrange a remedy, including a refund where appropriate.
Use Contact with your order reference and supporting evidence. Report description issues within 7 days of delivery and authenticity concerns within 180 days. These reporting windows do not restrict statutory rights.
Retain requested evidence and require a delivery signature where offered. Authenticity protection concerns works incorrectly identified as made by the named artist, not expressly uncertain attributions. It does not cover a change of mind about an accurately described, undamaged work. Cancellation rights and other legal remedies remain separate. This protection is provided by the store, independently of Artsy.
Import duties and taxes
Additional duties and taxes may apply at import. These charges depend on the artwork, its origin and the destination, and are separate from any amounts expressly included in your checkout total. Confirm the import costs for your destination before purchasing.
Delivery, cancellation and returns
Eligible UK and EU consumers have a 14-day cancellation period after delivery. Other purchases have a 24-hour cancellation window after confirmation and payment, subject to the conditions below. Delivery availability, costs and dates are confirmed in your artwork and address-specific quote.
For website checkout purchases, you may request cancellation within 24 hours after both our order confirmation and receipt of payment. Contact support with your order reference. Afterwards, sales are final except for the protection and legal rights described below. Auctions and payments arranged directly outside this website are excluded from this voluntary cancellation window.
Return method: post. For change-of-mind returns, you arrange and pay for return shipping. This does not determine who pays for a return under buyer protection or applicable law.
Eligible UK and EU consumers buying from a professional seller may notify us of cancellation within 14 days after receiving the artwork, then send it back within 14 days of that notice. Personalised works and qualifying public auctions are excluded. We refund payments received, including standard outward delivery where legally required; a deduction may apply for handling beyond necessary inspection.
Send a clear cancellation statement and your order reference through Contact. We will provide the return address and packing instructions. Keep the artwork and packaging safe. Do not send it to an unconfirmed address. Contact support separately about damage, non-delivery or an inaccurate description; the buyer-protection terms apply to those claims.
The delivery quote identifies the artwork, address, packing, shipping and any included taxes. Estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates. Import duties and taxes not included in the quote remain payable separately. Confirm access restrictions and destination details before payment; address changes require a new quote.
If an artwork arrives damaged, is not as described or does not arrive, contact support with your order reference and details. These issues are separate from change-of-mind returns. Nothing in this policy removes rights that apply under applicable law.
