Compare dimensions and editions
Check what was measured and which edition the measurements describe.
Identify the measurement
The image, sheet, object and outside of a frame can have different dimensions. Read Size and Framed Size separately. If the measurement basis is unclear, ask what the numbers describe. A two-number measurement does not establish depth or packing size.
Keep size and edition together
When a listing offers several editions, select the option you intend to discuss and check its dimensions and price together. Switching between inches and centimetres expresses the same measurement in another unit; it is not a second measurement. Preserve any indication that the size includes the frame.
Check the intended space
Mark the stated outside dimensions on your wall using paper or removable tape. For an object, check depth and the intended support too. Ask the seller about the frame, mounting and installation requirements. The apparent scale of a website photograph is not an installation drawing.
